And boom, just like that, I’m back in Canada! Four months of fantastic journeys through Asia with a plethora of dynamite people, and a tour through China to boot, has come to an end. I made it back safe and sound with my trusty carry on wheelie-back-pack and all of me intact. Nothing was thieved, nor lost, and all experiences were good, if not great. I have gig-a-bytes and gig-a-bytes of video that I will now attempt to compile and cut with software I have yet to learn in hopes to create a neat-o video of my times abroad. I’ll also be spending the next month helping my folks renovate our cabin on the west coast and will be recording tracks with my little traveling companion, a koa wood ukulele that made it through Asia case-less. It made it home well-nurtured by the various salty sea airs I ventured through and in fact sounds better than it did when I left for my trip…or perhaps that’s the way my mind now hears things following four months of reinvigorated brain cells… Either way, in front of a vintage sony mic it shall go to lay new ideas I conjured up whilst away.  And finally, I am putting the finishing touches on a score that will be performed live alongside seven dancers from the Ballet Jazz de Montreal this coming August. Stay tuned for more details…
Enjoy the rise of summer people, or for those I recently bid adieu to, the rise of winter.
